Chess players across India are invited to participate in the STAR FIDE Rapid Chess Tournament 2026, organized by Star Chess Foundation in association with Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan University, Trichy.

This prestigious tournament offers ₹3,00,000 total cash prizes and more than 250 prizes, making it one of the biggest rapid chess tournaments in Tamil Nadu.

Players from all rating categories are welcome to compete in this 9-round Swiss system FIDE Rapid rated tournament.

Tournament Rules

  • Tournament will follow FIDE Rapid Chess Rules.
  • Swiss System will be used for pairings.
  • Total 9 rounds will be played.
  • Default time is 10 minutes.
  • Tie-break rules include:

    • Greater Number of Wins

Electronic devices including wrist watches are strictly prohibited during play.
